the age of reason is probably petering out slowly. only our machines will be reasonable, because they make sense. we can rely on our computers to be moral beings. a machine in a sense, is a moral structure (…) we are subcontracting the moral dimensions in our lives to the machine world. this will allow us to play- like some millionaire´s kids in a highly advanced nursery- to play with our elaborate toys, which are our various deviant psychological impulses.
